Fenestration Testing
Accommodate testing up to 80" x 80" windows and doors

Structural – Wind Load & Deflection (NAFS, ASTM E330)
Procedure: Uniform positive and negative air pressure is applied across the specimen. Deflection and permanent damage are measured.
Ratings:
Design Pressure (DP): Measured in Pa (Pascals).
Common residential ranges: +/- 2400 Pa
Higher-performance: +/- 4800 Pa or above
Deflection Limit: Typically L/175 (span/175), L/240 for stricter performance.
Air Leakage – Infiltration/Exfiltration (ASTM E283)
Procedure: Product is sealed into a test chamber, and airflow is measured under pressure differences.
Ratings:
Reported in cfm/ft² of frame area at a specified pressure difference.
NAFS/CSA requirements:
Windows/Doors: ≤ 0.3 cfm/ft² at 75 Pa
Water Penetration – Static Pressure with Spray Rack (ASTM E547 / E1105)
Procedure: Product is subjected to uniform water spray (5.0 US gal/ft²/hr) while air pressure is applied to simulate wind-driven rain.
Ratings:
Pressure difference (Pa) at which no water penetrates beyond the interior face.
Typical test pressures: 150 Pa up to 720 Pa depending on rating class.
